Achieve It Yourself! is a partially Patreon Exclusive show hosted by Michael Damiani in which a group of Allies attempt made-up Nintendo achievements submitted by Patrons.

The show was originally produced and hosted by Kyle Bosman through the first two seasons. Following Kyle's departure from Easy Allies, Damiani took over as host and producer starting with Season 3.

History[]

The show originally began as a Patreon-exclusive six episode show. Achieve It Yourself officially premiered on May 23, 2019 with the first episode being made available to the public.

Due to the show's success, an eight episode second season was announced on August 13, 2019 during the Phase 4 announcements[1]. Season 2 premiered on October 9, 2019 with episodes landing on Patreon early access first and going public a week later. The remaining five episodes of Season 1 remained a Patreon-exclusive.

On March 13, 2020, Kyle Bosman announced via Patreon post[2] that he would be departing from Easy Allies the following month, citing that he needed to find his life's "main thing." In the same post, he mentioned that Damiani would take over as producer for Achieve it Yourself.

On September 17, 2020, Easy Allies announced[3] that as part of their partnership with Roost, some of their series were launching on RoosterTeeth.com. Starting October 21, recent episodes of Achieve It Yourself, the Easy Allies Podcast, Frame Trap, Box Peek, and Mysterious Monsters would be featured on the site. These shows were selected to serve as an introduction to Easy Allies and for the overall fit with Rooster Teeth's audiences. New episodes will still be posted around the same schedule on the Easy Allies YouTube channel and podcast feeds.

On February 1, 2021, Achieve It Yourself! producer Michael Damiani announced on Patreon[4] that the series was returning for a third season with seven new episodes being recorded and produced remotely due to the ongoing global pandemic. They began accepting submissions for new made-up Nintendo achievements with the request that ideas reflect games that are more readily available on Switch to accommodate working from home. Season 3 premiered exclusively for patrons on March 23, 2021 as part of EZX Digital '21.

On August 30, 2022, Easy Allies officially announced plans to bring back Achieve It Yourself! for a fourth season in Fall 2022.[5] This also marked the return of the show being recorded in person, which lifted restrictions on the type of achievements that were able to be submitted. Damiani reviewed feedback on S3 and planned some slight structure changes to the show along with submissions requiring video proof of the submitted achievement both to verify it's possible and to show the contestants how it's done by pros in case of a failed achievement.

That same day, Bloodworth announced changes were being made to Patreon Exclusives which included new episodes of Trash Babies and Achieve It Yourself! being made public while $5 and up Patrons get access to the full uncut recording.

During Easy Chillin' 2022, Damiani debuted a special Achieve It Yourself! live competition titled “Play It Loud! Nintendo Decathlon - Sponsored by Achieve It Yourself!”. The other six allies were randomly split into three teams of two, competing for points across 10 rounds of achievements. Due to time restrictions, the final five rounds were played during the following Group Stream Night.

Achieve It Yourself! S4 officially premiered on November 30, 2022 with a format change compared to the previous three seasons. Similar to the Easy Chillin’ live competition, the other Allies are now randomly split into three teams of two. Each achievement grants a set amount of points along with special conditions for one team to gain bonus points. The team with the most points at the end of the season wins.

On February 19, 2023, Damiani officially opened up submissions for Achieve It Yourself! Season 5. Video proof for submissions was no longer required but instead used the honor system to swear the achievement is possible.[6] S5 officially premiered on September 5, 2023 with three new team combinations and some rule and format changes after feedback from S4.

Premise[]

Through the first three seasons, the show’s main premise was having a selection of Allies attempt made-up achievements for games across Nintendo’s consoles. Starting with Season 4, the format changed into a season-long competition between three teams. The team with the most points at the end of the season wins. Patrons were also given special extended cuts of each episode.
