Blood Pact was a monthly series of streams hosted by Daniel Bloodworth. $60 and up Patrons could join Bloodworth in a close knit book-club style group to choose a theme and vote on a game to play that fits the theme. Bloodworth would then stream the game publicly and later hold a private roundtable stream to discuss everyone's thoughts.
It was announced during EZX 2022 that Blood Pact would be ending in April 2022 alongside the $60 and up Blood Pact Patreon tier being retired.
History[]
On August 3, 2016, Bloodworth introduced Blood Pact for Patrons $75 and up.[1] On the last Thursday of the month, he would play a game the Blood Pact selected to play together. The first Blood Pact game chosen was ToeJam & Earl.
As part of their first anniversary announcements, the Blood Pact tier moved down from $75 to $60 and up Patrons on March 25, 2017 in order to recruit some fresh blood and keep the conversation flowing.[2] This change coincided with Hollow Knight being chosen for the March 2017 Blood Pact game.
Due to the global pandemic and home network difficulties, Blood Pact shifted to a pre-recorded stream format starting with the April 2020 pick, Crystalis.
On October 22, 2020, Bloodworth released a bonus Blood Pact episode for $1 and up Patrons playing AI: The Somnium Files for the week-long Patron Party 2020 event. While Blood Pact streams are typically made available to the public, he included the "book report" / roundtable discussion portion with this bonus episode that is typically exclusive for $60 and up Patrons.[3]
Easy Allies officially returned to The Studio as a group on June 10, 2021. The date coincided with all of the Allies being fully vaccinated and COVID-cleared as well as the first day of E3. The June 2021 stream was the first live Blood Pact back in The Studio.
It was announced during EZX 2022 that Blood Pact would be ending in April 2022 alongside the $60 and up Blood Pact Patreon tier being retired. The final stream aired on April 29, 2022 with the Patrons voting on Actraiser Renaissance.
