Brandon Plays Pokémon is a 10-episode series that chronicles Brandon Jones playing Pokémon for the first time. In each episode, Brandon relays his adventures in Pokémon Red and Blue to series veteran Kyle Bosman.

Brandon and Kyle premiered Brandon Sun, Kyle Moon on November 19, 2016 as a follow-up to Brandon Plays Pokémon. The five-part series followed their first time playing Pokémon Sun and Moon, with this being Brandon's second Pokémon game.

On August 29, 2019, Brandon and Kyle would debut Silver Squad, the successor to Brandon Plays Pokémon and Brandon Sun, Kyle Moon. This stream series would go through Brandon's journey playing Pokémon Silver for the first time.


For the purpose of this show, Kyle laid out a couple rules for Brandon at the start of his journey into the world of Pokémon.

  1. Every Pokémon you catch needs a nickname
  2. You can only get two badges


Brandon's first Pokémon would be a Charmander he nicknamed Johnny.
