DGD is an abbreviation for the phrase, "Doing great, Damiani." This is often used in Chat as positive affirmation for when one of the Allies completed something challenging on stream or is progressing well in a game.
The alternative phrase, GDG was later coined by Chat after Gabby joined Easy Allies as both a nod and tribute to DGD.
Origins[]
The term DGD was first coined during the January 15, 2020 edition of Stream Team playing Silent Hill 2 with Damiani, Isla, and Huber.[1] Damiani was playing Silent Hill 2 for the first time while Isla and Huber supported him as veterans of the game. Throughout the stream, they would keep repeating variations of the phrase, "Doing great, Damiani" as a sign that he was doing well for his first time playing.
Twitch Emote[]
In 2023, an animated emote for DGD was introduced on Twitch given the popularity of the phrase in the community.
