Isla and Don Hit the Stream is a series of fortnightly streams hosted by Isla Hinck & Don Casanova. As part of the Easy Allies Phase 4 initiative to stream together more often in a group, Isla and Don officially began streaming every other Wednesday night when Stream Team isn't scheduled. In October 2020, they shifted to streaming every other Monday night to better accommodate their schedules. The title of the stream is a spin-off of Isla and Don's annual summer Easy Update series, Isla and Don Hit the Beach.
The streams in The Studio are known for their avant-garde intros and outros that typically begin with a close-up shot of Isla and Don on the window screens wearing serious expressions on their faces while sometimes overlapping music and visual effects play out. The streams have also produced memes such as Zach and PB Pace while playing titles like Deadly Premonition and Super Mario Maker 2.
History[]
The first informal Isla and Don Hit the Stream occurred for the launch of Super Mario Maker 2 for Nintendo Switch on June 27, 2019. They officially launched the stream on August 21, 2019 with Jurassic World Evolution.
Due to the global pandemic, Isla and Don began streaming from home starting on April 1, 2020 and temporarily paused their full playthrough of Deadly Premonition. They resumed their playthrough a few weeks later in preparation for the release of the sequel.
Prior to the Parkasaurus stream on August 5, 2020, Don went on paternity leave for the birth of his child. Daniel Bloodworth took his place for the subsequent streams, which included several follow-up streams of Grounded after they played the game during Group Stream Night. Don returned to the stream on September 16, 2020 with Planet Zoo and Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise.
During EZX Digital '21, a fundraiser was held across Patreon, Twitch, and PayPal donations to help with ongoing expenses, improve the studio, updating equipment, and plan future events. The $8,000 goal was reached, awarding a bonus Isla and Don EZX Mario Maker 2 Race stream on March 25, 2021.
Easy Allies officially returned to The Studio as a group on June 10, 2021. The date coincided with all of the Allies being fully vaccinated and COVID-cleared as well as the first day of E3. Isla and Don played a variety of games in their first stream back in The Studio, which also saw the return of the magic window portraits and traditional Studio outro.
A special Isla and Don Hit the Stream edition of Stream Team was hosted on August 24, 2021 as Don made his Stream Team debut. A special Don's Design Lab episode of Stream Team was also streamed on December 14, 2021 featuring Damiani's Lost Level. They were working on the episode before the pandemic, but it was never finished. Don, Damiani, and Isla brought back Damiani's original design blueprint to create his vision live on stream.

A variety of games have been featured on Isla and Don Hit the Stream to date, many of which have been simulation games. The first full playthrough of the stream was Deadly Premonition on Nintendo Switch. Following the launch of Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise, a full playthrough of the game was started featuring reviewer Ben Moore.
