Michael Huber is an American writer and video personality. He was an intern at G4tv before joining GameTrailers, where he eventually got his own show Huber Hype. He remained with GT until its closure in 2016.

Easy Allies History

While Huber writes video game reviews for Easy Allies, he also hosts a multitude of shows. On April 12, 2016, he debuted his first show Huber Syndrome, a weekly look at what Huber is passionate about. It is a spiritual successor to Huber Hype.

On April 14, 2017, Huber and Isla started a monthly movie podcast titled Reaction Shots. Each month, they study various film trends, genres, and themes which sometimes features special guests. The podcast has its own $7 and up Patreon tier with rewards and perks.

Shortly after moving into The Studio, Easy Allies premiered their RPG trivia game show, Mysterious Monsters on March 19, 2019. Hosted by Michael Huber, contestants have to fight monsters in an RPG-like battle screen, answer trivia questions in a variety of topics, and compete against each other to win the most gold by the end of the final round. The game show was designed by Isla Hinck and programmed by developer Jason Wishnov from Iridium Studios.

Huber took a hiatus from filming Huber Syndrome to work on the limited series, Huber's Prison of Love. The show was first announced during the Phase 4 Announcements and premiered on December 4, 2019. In each episode, Huber locked up fellow Allies in a room with a game he loves.

His next limited series, Hunting Huber officially premiered on June 10, 2020. In each episode, Allies take turns hunting down a severely disadvantaged Michael Huber in a different game. Originally starting from a Punished Bet between Kyle Bosman and Huber, the idea evolved into its own standalone show.
