Punished Bets are a series of specials that show the punishment results from the various bets made between the Allies. They either come from the results of Betting Specials or from side bets placed between the Allies during streams or podcasts.

The loser must cosplay on the Easy Allies Podcast and Group Stream Night as someone from a previous Easy Allies Game of the Year winner. Also the loser will start -1 point for the 2026 season and will have to do something for the winner. Everyone must also sing a poem about why the winner is the champion of bets.

The winner gets the sketchy token and they get +1 point for the 2026 season. They also get a streamjack to highjack a stream whenever they want to and gets to gain control of a Group Stream Night when they want.

Nov 23, 2021 Sep 14, 2023 BET: Huber bets we will see a proper F-Zero game on a Nintendo console by January 1, 2030. Brad bets against Huber with the terms being that F-Zero being featured in a different IP, ports/remasters, or a new mobile game will not count. However, a full remake would count.


RESULT: Nintendo revealed F-Zero 99 during the September 2023 Nintendo Direct and Brad left it up to Huber if the game counts towards the bet. Huber confirmed F-Zero 99 counts.

  • In the 2025 season, Huber will be crowned “The Fancy One.” Huber can simply go by “The Fancy One,” he can attach it to his current animal, such as - “The Fancy Manatee” - or he can choose a new animal to go with his fancy title.
  • Huber will get one - ONE - “Sketchy Token” that will allow him to change another player’s bet. So say you’re in a close race with another player and you both bet the same number, you can change their bet to give you a potential advantage. You can decide when to use it however you like.
  • Huber will pick a game, and everyone else has to draw box art for it. (similar to Elder Scrolls box art shown by Parasitepaladin)
  • And finally Huber gets an illustration of their mascot animal by Sara Knite. (PG rated)

  • Damiani will have to stream one of the lowest rated games of the year, chosen by our patrons, for three hours. He will then need to write a two page story, written from the perspective of one of the game’s NPCs and will need to read that story aloud on this podcast before the end of January 2025.

2016

On Easy Allies Podcast #11 - June 1, 2016, Jones and Ben made a bet on whether or not a new Battletoads would be announced during E3 2016. Ben lost the bet and was forced to stream the NES game, Battletoads until he either beat the third level or streamed for four hours.

In the Fall of 2016, Huber and Blood made a bet on the Easy Allies Podcast on whether you would be able to walk into a store and purchase an NES Classic by the end of the year. Blood was convinced that Nintendo would have ample supply for the holiday season and had to photograph an NES Classic on a store shelf as proof. Blood was not able to find an NES Classic in stores, resulting in him having to stream the NES game, Kung Fu for one hour.

A side bet was also made between Huber and Kyle on the Easy Allies Podcast on if a Nintendo Switch release date would be announced in 2016. Huber bet no, resulting in him having to stream a full playthrough of Dead Space 3. Brad provided support by accompanying him in the first stream, but Huber was forced to finish the rest of the streams alone.

2017

Around the beginning of 2017, Huber and Kyle placed a bet after Nintendo announced they were ceasing production of the NES Classic. Kyle believed Nintendo would not make any more Classic consoles while Huber believed some sort of follow-up would reveal itself. Nintendo later announced the SNES Classic, forcing Kyle to stream Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for no more or less than 20 minutes. He delivered on the Punished Bet on November 27, 2017.

Sometime around August 2017, Huber and Kyle made a bet on whether or not Sonic Forces would include microtransactions. Huber believed there would be due to all of the character customization and lost the bet. The Punished Bet was finally delivered on August 18, 2018, during Easy Livin' 2018.

After Kyle announced he was departing Easy Allies on April 24, 2020, a multitude of outstanding Punished Bets were settled. This included Isla cosplaying as Spider-Gwen, Kyle hunting Huber in Halo 2, Kyle and Ben performing a Samus duet, and Kyle creating a cutscene from Kingdom Hearts III.

2021

In November 2021, Huber and Brad made a bet on if we would see a proper F-Zero game on a Nintendo console by January 1, 2030. Brad bet no against Huber with the terms being that F-Zero being featured in a different IP, ports/remasters, or a new mobile game will not count. However, a full remake would count. If Brad loses, he has to bake Huber a chocolate cake from scratch. If Huber loses, he has to bake Brad cinnamon rolls from scratch.

During a December episode of the Easy Allies Podcast, Kyle was a special guest since he was in town working on The Game Awards. A bet was made between Jones and Kyle on if Bruce Wayne/Batman from the Arkham series would appear in present-day Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Flashbacks or a pre-recorded video were decided to not count towards the bet. Jones believed he would appear while Kyle believed he wouldn't. The loser has to dress up in a Batman costume and take a lap around a public park.

2022

At the beginning of the year, Huber held his annual Anticipated Games of the Year discussion on Huber Syndrome. In the episode featuring Isla, Blood, and Jones, a bet was made on who would be the final boss of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Blood bet it would be Amanda Waller, Jones bet Lois Lane, Isla bet a member of your Suicide Squad team, and Huber bet Batman. If either of Jones, Blood, or Isla wins, they get to decide the content of a Huber Syndrome episode. However if Huber wins, he gets to decide the content of a Huber Syndrome episode involving the losers.

During the Summer Game Fest 2022 coverage, there was a lot of hype among the Allies about a possible Dragon's Dogma 2 announcement. After Capcom failed to announce the game during their direct, Huber and Isla made a bet on whether or not it would show up during the upcoming "10 Years of Dragon's Dogma" event. Isla didn't believe it would be announced and subsequently lost the bet. As punishment, she has to purchase Dragon's Dogma 2 on all platforms including Google Stadia and additionally has to stream Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.

On August 2, 2022, Easy Allies held a special "Punished Bets" edition of Group Stream Night to settle a list of outstanding completed bets that were awaiting punishments.

On November 29, 2022, MinnMax founder Ben Hanson hosted a special MinnMax vs. Easy Allies community episode of their trivia game show “Trivia Tower” with special co-host Isla Hinck. They set betting stakes for the community member on the winning team. If MinnMax won, then the Allies would have to all sing “MinnMax is good” during the opening of Love & Respect in the next episode of the Easy Allies Podcast. If Easy Allies won, then Ben Hanson would have to do a live-action recreation of the first mansion scene from the original Resident Evil 1 with the voiceover direction as his inspiration. EZA community member Bynoe won Trivia Tower, resulting in Ben Hanson having to deliver on the punished bet.

Kyle returned as a special guest on the Easy Allies Podcast for The Game Awards on December 8, 2022. Following the announcement of Armored Core VI, Kyle bet with Damiani that it would have a higher OpenCritic score than The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. If Kyle wins, then he gets to name Damiani’s horse. in TotK. If Damiani wins, then he gets to name Kyle’s mech in AC VI and choose its color.

2023

For the 2023 Fantasy Critic Games League, Isla, Don, and Kyle shook things up by adding Jones and Gabby to the league. They added some new rules and settings for the fifth season along with the same stakes. Don once again had the lowest point total for the 2022 league and has to do a high-effort cosplay of Saints Row and stream the game for at least two hours on the Easy Allies channel.

2024

In the 2024 Fantasy Critic Games League, Don bowed out of the league for 2024 after finishing out 2023 on a high note by coming in fourth place and not having a Punished Bet. Jones came in last place in the 2023 league and has to do a high-effort cosplay of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake and stream the game for at least two hours on the Easy Allies channel.

In Easy Allies Podcast Ep. 406, Huber made a bet with the rest of the panel on the next Mario Kart game not releasing in 2024. Blood, Isla, Damiani, and Don were all confident in the game coming out this year with the Switch 2 rumors. If the game is announced for release in 2024, Huber will come to The Studio the next time after the announcement dressed as Wario.

Starting with the 2024 season, Blood added additional stakes to the Easy Allies Podcast bets. Rewards are given to the winner of the season along with punishments for the losers.
